Doing Not Understanding
"Perfection consists in doing the will of God, not in understanding His designs."
— Abandonment to Divine Providence
Why? Why?
If you have kids, you hear this question a hundred times a day. We’re wired for curiosity—we want to understand how things work, why things happen.
But as parents, there are moments when we simply need our children to listen. There isn’t time to explain, or maybe they’re too young to grasp the full picture.
The same is true in our relationship with God. Holiness isn’t about fully understanding His will—it’s about doing it. Trusting Him even when the reasons remain hidden. Obedience before clarity. Surrender before certainty.
We may not always get the “why,” but we are always called to follow.
