Amidst all of the craziness in the world, especially in our country's political landscape, we must remember a simple truth: our Catholic beliefs will never be mainstream. It will never be ‘popular’ to be Catholic. Christ Himself tells us, "You will be hated by all because of my name." Matthew 10:22
It seems pointless to expect anything less than the current hostile climate Catholics find themselves in. Remember, the early Christians faced adversity too! In any other situation, this might cause us to despair, but we know that this is not the end of the story. Christ also tells us that “whoever endures to the end will be saved." Matthew 10:22
And, that is the task that we are faced with: enduring the crazy, hostile climate. Fighting for our Lord. Converting souls to His side, including our own.
Christ has already won, so the only way we lose is by forfeiting a relationship with Him.
"Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground." Ephesians 6:13
