Patience is an undervalued virtue in our world today.
Our culture takes pride in speed — getting things now, doing things fast. We have so many resources at our fingertips to make the time between ‘wanting’ and ‘having’ as miniscule as possible.
And, we might not think anything of it until we are forced to be patient, or when something is out of our control.
But, patience is a virtue that we will always need, simply because of the fact that we are not in control.
So, we need patience, both in the small and big situations of our lives. We must remember that God desires our happiness and that He has a plan for each of us.
And, His plan consists of not just what He wants for us, but the timing of what He wants for us.

Fifteen years! And, you could argue that as far as conversions go, that’s an average amount of time. True faith requires patience because true faith is persistent.
We need patience — not just with other people, but with ourselves and with God.
