Present
When we are reminded of a memory from the past, it’s hard not to ‘go back’ to that time and reminisce. We start to wonder If I knew then what I know now… Or, if I could talk to my 20 year-old self, what would I say?
It’s so difficult to see past the weekend, past today, past this moment, past the current things that are happening in our lives.
Kids and young adults seem to embrace the present better than most, but they often lack perspective...especially eternal perspective. All of us face the struggle of living in the here and now, while trying not to lose sight of the big picture.
At any age, that’s the challenge — to look past our own horizons, both in time and space. To use this moment to look to God and neighbor. It is truly a gift — one that can be squandered or one that can be used for the Glory of God.
