Summons is becoming... The Victor's Crown
Seven years ago, I started writing daily reflections. For seven years, you’ve shown up in my inbox—or I’ve shown up in yours—and we’ve spent a few minutes together reflecting on faith, virtue, life, and living as Catholics in the modern world.
Today, I’m writing to tell you that Summons is becoming The Victor’s Crown.
This is a name change that I’ve prayed a lot about, and I’m excited for this new era of this work and where it will go.
So, what’s changing:
Starting today, you’ll see the name transition from Summons to The Victor’s Crown. The logo, colors, and branding will all reflect the new name. The website will move to TheVictorsCrown.com.
But here’s what’s not changing: you’ll still get a daily reflection in your inbox, written by me, in the same voice, with the same heart.
What’s new:
I’m launching a podcast! You’ll be able to listen to the daily reflections in audio form—I’m calling this First Victory, because prayer is the first victory of the day. And there’s more coming. I’ll share details soon.
Why “The Victor’s Crown”?
I’ll share the full story soon, but it’s inspired by the Forty Martyrs of Sebaste. Beyond that, this is about pursuing the imperishable crown—living victoriously as Catholics in our everyday lives.
The name Summons served us well, but it’s time for something that better captures the vision of what this work is becoming.
Thank you.
You’re the reason this has lasted seven years. You’re the reason it’s growing into something bigger. Thank you for reading, for showing up, for being part of this journey.
I can’t wait to see where The Victor’s Crown takes us.
More soon,
Mark
