This Moment
We often encounter pitfalls when it comes to discerning God’s will for our lives. Whether it’s vocationally, professionally, or spiritually, we try so desperately to see God’s plan for our lives. We can overanalyze and impose our own view of ‘God’s will’ and search for ‘providential’ hints.
In reality, we can’t see how God’s weaving the tapestry of our lives. ‘God’s-eye’ view is not possible for us humans.
By constantly trying to see the big picture, we can ignore the here and now. We become so caught up in where God’s calling us tomorrow, that we forget to recognize where God has put us today.
Our lives are a series of moments that are made up of people, places, and events. All we can do is strive to do the Father’s will in those moments.
Despite what we may think, we might just be exactly who, where, and with whom God wants us to be in that moment.
God is setting the appointment, don’t miss it.
