Time
The ultimate, most sought-after currency in our lives is time. And, no matter what our status, wealth, intelligence, or skills are — our time is still limited.
Money and material things can be useful, but no one leaves this life wishing they had more wealth or possessions. At the end, we’d give up anything for just a little more time.
We think we understand time, but we really don’t. If we did, we wouldn’t waste it on Facebook, or Netflix, or other useless things.
Saint Jacinta, one of the Fatima seers, reminds us, “If men only knew what eternity is, they would do everything in their power to change their lives.”
We must also remember that time is one of the greatest gifts we can give someone. What do people value more than money, or toys, or cars, or whatever else? Time. Spending time together and actually being present.
Time is a gift. We must protect it, cherish it, and use it wisely.
The clock is ticking...
