Trust
It’s hard to love someone who you don’t trust. Or, another way to put it, it’s easier to love someone you do trust.
The same holds true when it comes to our relationship with God. And maybe, just maybe, struggles with our faith aren’t because of a lack of love, but a lack of trust.
Trusting God isn’t always easy. Unplanned things happen in our lives, and we don’t understand why. As a result, we fall for the lie that somehow God wants us to be unhappy. In a culture that craves self-autonomy, the lack of control equates to the lack of happiness.
But, we must remember that God wants us to experience eternal happiness in Him. He doesn’t need us, but He still wants a relationship with us. He created us. He has a plan for us. He loves us.
When we remember this, the trust we lack starts to build. God has our backs in ways we don’t even know.
