Trust
Everything we have is a gift from God—our talents, our time, our money, our intelligence, even our bodies.
I know I’m not breaking new ground here. But take a moment to really think about it: everything good in our lives comes from Him. It’s all from God, and in a way, it’s all on loan. We are called to offer it back to Him, to use it to bring Him glory.
Now, with that in mind, let’s turn to the trials in our lives. How often do we hit a rough patch, a dark season, and think, “This is too much. God has given me more than I can handle.”
When I reflect on this, I think of it like a boss hiring a new employee. The boss lays out the job description, provides the tools, the training, and even shows trust by hiring them in the first place. At first, things go smoothly. But when challenges come, what does the employee think? “This is too much. I’m alone. I can’t handle this.”
The truth is, we often do the same with God. Why are we so quick to assume that the One who gave us everything would walk away when we need His help the most?
If everything we have is His—if He’s the source of every blessing, the giver of every good thing—why would He abandon us in our struggles? Doesn’t He care?
Of course, He does. God doesn’t leave us to fend for ourselves. He walks with us through the trials, equipping us with the grace we need.
In His hands, even our hardest moments can become occasions of grace.
Is that easy? No. Especially when you’re in the thick of it. But that’s precisely when we need to offer the simplest prayer: “Lord, I trust You.”
Because in trusting Him, we discover that He has never let us walk alone.
