Young children often go through the phase where every question or comment is answered with: “Why?”
As tiresome as it can be, we as adults do the same thing to God all the time. So, imagine how tired He is of it.
We ask, plead, complain, get angry, and stomp our feet (figuratively, but maybe literally) because we don’t get what we want or because we can’t do what we want.
We turn to God and ask, “why?”...as if God needs to answer to us.
But, whether we’re dealing with kids or God is ‘dealing’ with us — the answer is the same.
It’s not “because I said so,” it’s because “I love you.”
We want the best for our children, for our spouses, for our friends and family. Do we really believe that God somehow doesn’t want the same for us?
This is spot on. Everyday this happens for all of us
